Ravi Ahuja has been responsible for overseeing all production operations for Sony Pictures Television. Sony Group Inc. and Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) announced on Tuesday that Ravi Ahuja will be promoted to President and CEO of SPE, effective January 2, 2025. Mr. Ahuja, who currently serves as Chairman, President and Chief Operating Officer of SPE’s Global Television Studios, will succeed Tony Vinciquerra, who will step down as SPE CEO.
Mr. Vincichella will continue to serve as non-executive chairman in an advisory capacity until the end of December 2025.
In his new role, Mr. Ahuja will be joined by Kenichiro Yoshida, chairman and CEO of Sony Group Inc., and Kenichiro Yoshida, president, chief operating officer (COO) and chief financial officer (CFO) of Sony Group Inc. He will report directly to Mr. Hiroki Toki.
Who is Ravi Ahuja?
Since joining SPE in 2021, Mr. Ahuja has served as Chairman of Global Television Studios, where he is responsible for overseeing all Sony Pictures Television (SPT) production operations and the studio’s India operations. .
Additionally, he oversaw SPE’s mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities, including the acquisitions of Industrial Media, Bad Wolf, and Pixomondo, and the sale of GSN Games to Scopely.
Prior to joining SPE, Mr. Ahuja held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility, including Director of Business Operations and CFO at Walt Disney Television and CFO at Fox Networks Group and Virgin Entertainment Group.

During his tenure, which began in June 2017, Mr. Vinciquerra successfully led SPE’s turnaround, achieving five consecutive years of profit growth. This was achieved by strengthening SPE’s film sector, rethinking its television business, and aggressively pursuing M&A in key growth areas, including the acquisition of Crunchyroll in 2021.
