Juila Louis-Dreyfus found becoming a mother “very difficult” while filming “Seinfeld.”
Louis-Dreyfus, 63, suddenly rose to fame while filming the sitcom alongside Jerry Seinfeld, Larry David, Jason Alexander and Michael Richards.
The actress spoke about the “toughest period” of her career at a screening of Be My Guest with Ina Garten.
“Another challenge in my career was juggling,” Louis-Dreyfus told Garten, according to People magazine. “Because, for example, while I was making Seinfeld, I gave birth to two children. It was very challenging, but it was also amazing, because at this time I… was becoming very famous. It really kept all of that in perspective.”

Louis-Dreyfus described the creative way producers hid her pregnancy during filming.
“Did they put you behind a potted plant so they wouldn’t know you were pregnant?” Garten asked in the preview clip.
“Yeah, well, let’s see. The first round, yes, we were standing in the shadows and carrying boxes,” she recalled. “By the time I was pregnant with my second pregnancy, no one cared anymore.
“It was like nothing was happening. We were just blah. … I went in, I came out all this way, and no one said anything.”
