I’m not a die-hard college football fan, just a casual college football fan, so I’d never really thought about what it would be like to spend the night at Nick Saban’s house.
I’m not an Alabama fan either, but honestly, when I think about it, I’m probably not that different from the average die-hard college football fan out there.
Anyway, you get the gist.

I’d never even considered having a sleepover with Saban, at least not until I saw this new movie. The VRBO commercial he appears in.
A couple with their kids comes in to a very beautiful house with a nice lawn and a nice porch. Hold on a second… is that Nick Saban? Nick Saban.
He tells them check-in is at 3pm, but it’s 2:55pm, so of course they’re late. He also lays out some ridiculously over-the-top ground rules that don’t make much sense but will definitely shape their character down the line. At least, that’s what they say.

This is somehow completely ridiculous and completely believable at the same time. Do you think Saban runs his household like a training camp? No, probably not.
But can you imagine him doing something like that? Absolutely not. Thank you VRBO for putting me through this nightmare. I was really looking forward to this today.
