British star Yung Philly has been charged with rape and assault while on tour in Australia.
The Colombian-born rapper, comedian and internet personality, 29, appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on Thursday (October 9) charged with three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm and four counts of sexual penetration without consent. Appeared in court.
He is also charged with impeding breathing or circulation of another person by compressing the neck.
Born Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos in Cali, Colombia, Mr Barrientos moved to the UK with his family as a child, first to Orpington in Kent and then to south-east London, where he became a part of the local grime scene. I became interested in.

Mr. Barrientos then began to pursue a career in music using significant online platforms, releasing singles in 2017 including his debut song “Take Time” and a collaboration with fellow internet celebrity and rapper Chunkz. In recent years Mr Barrientos has hosted a number of BBC programmes, including Yong Philly’s Celebrity Lock-In. He also hosted the BBC Three show Hot Property, where he helped single young people take a peek at the homes of potential partners. He was arrested in Brisbane and extradited to Perth on Wednesday, October 8. He remains in custody.

ABC Australia reported that Mr Barrientos is being represented by Perth lawyer Seamus Rafferty SC.
His bail application was opposed by police prosecutor Julius DePetro.
Prosecutors provided the judge with photos of the woman’s injuries allegedly caused by Barrientos, who said: โThe public cannot consent in this situation.
“Her body bears a history of violent acts… We believe that these photos and their alleged content are beyond the pale and go beyond what could be considered consensual behavior.” I am insisting.โ
