The Yankees tried to acquire Blake Snell during the offseason.
They’ve teamed up with him again as they look to improve their fitness for the playoffs.
The Yankees are one of six teams that have expressed interest in the Giants left-hander ahead of Tuesday’s MLB trade deadline, The Post’s Jon Heyman reported Sunday morning.

This comes after the Yankees acquired outfielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. from the Marlins on Saturday.
Heyman reported that the aggressive Padres, Snell’s team for the past three seasons, are one of six teams interested in the reigning National League Cy Young Award winner.
The 31-year-old Snell has made just 10 starts this season because of injuries, including a recent groin strain, but he has pitched well in his four starts this month, most notably against the Rockies on Saturday, when he gave up no runs in six innings, only two hits and two walks, while striking out 15 batters.
Snell owns a 5.10 ERA this season, but in four starts in July he allowed just two runs in 24 innings while striking out 30 batters.
After a lengthy free agency period that ended in mid-March, Snell signed a two-year, $62 million contract with San Francisco that he can opt out of at the end of this season.
The Yankees’ starting rotation has been unstable since its early season dominance.
Nestor Cortes has struggled recently, failing to complete five innings in any of his past three starts and four of his past five, allowing 15 runs in his past three appearances.

Marcus Stroman has a 5.28 ERA in his past nine starts.
Carlos Rodon, who takes the mound against the Red Sox on Sunday night, pitched very well against the Rays on Monday but had a 9.67 ERA in his previous six starts.
And Gerrit Cole was coming off a tough loss to the Mets on Wednesday after two straight strong performances.
The Giants (52-55) are disappointing but are 4.5 games out of the final National League wild-card spot.
