This summer transfer window has been quite dramatic for West Ham, with manager Julen Lopetegui’s side signing three players: young Brazilian winger Luis Guilherme, 33-year-old keeper Wes Foderingham and summer transfer Max Kilman.
Meanwhile, three players have left, including Said Benrahma to Lyon, Thilo Kehrer to Monaco and Ben Johnson to upstart Premier League side Ipswich Town.
West Ham need to sign a new striker, centre-back and right-back before the new season begins, and despite talks underway, they have got nothing in most deals.
Aston Villa are currently sticking to their £40m valuation of John Duran, West Ham have Todibo waiting to move to Juventus despite agreeing a fee with Nice and Manchester United are closing in on the signing of Mazraoui, who had verbally agreed a deal with Bayern Munich.
The Red Devils are also still in negotiations to sell Aaron Wan-Bissaka to West Ham and at the start of the transfer window, West Ham agreed a deal with Flamengo to sign 28-year-old centre-back Fabricio Bruno for £11.5 million, but Bruno rejected a move to West Ham due to wage demands.
The Hammers appear to have moved on from that deal, signing Max Kilman from Wolverhampton for £40 million in early July. However, journalist Julio Miguel Neto has made a shocking revelation: West Ham are still interested in Bruno and have informed his current club Flamengo that they will make another bid. The report claims that West Ham are willing to increase their wage bill to sign Fabricio Bruno as they struggle to find a new centre-back.

The 28-year-old defender is a quality defender and a good passer who could improve West Ham’s build-up play, but it would be surprising to see them re-sign a player who rejected an offer from West Ham last month. This clearly shows that West Ham are struggling to get deals done at the moment, despite negotiations ongoing with a number of players.

If the club were to sign the Brazilian defender, they would likely need to sell either Kurt Zouma or Nayef Aguerre, who have both shown interest from French clubs, to raise funds for new signings including a striker and a right-back.
