UAE Team Emirates claimed their 74th and 75th victories this Saturday at the Tour de Luxembourg and the Super 8 Classic. With Baroncini’s victory in the Belgian race, the team has equalled the record set by Mapei in the 21st century in terms of the number of riders who have won in a year.
This year the team has completely dominated the calendar, winning the Giro d’Italia and the Tour de France and Tadej Pogacar has delivered 22 WorldTour victories (more than Team Visma Ris-A-Bike or any other team). The team is unrivaled at the top of the UCI rankings, but individually the Slovenian has earned more than double the points of runner-up Remco Evenepoel.
The team has big budgets, great leaders and a deep roster: 19 riders have won this season alone: Isaac Del Toro, Brandon McNulty, Finn Fisher-Black, Adam Yates, Juan Ayuso, Marc Hirschi, Tadej Pogačar, Diego Ulissi, Jan Kristen, Pavel Sivakov, Antonio Morgado, Joao Almeida, Tim Wellens, Nils Politt, Felix Grosschartner, Domen Novak, Jay Vine, Marc Soler and Filippo Baloncin have all raised their hands to glory.
