The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) announced on Monday that the UAE visa amnesty program, which ends on October 31, will not be extended.

These campaigns will continue to arrest violators, enforce decisions such as fines and deportation, and place them on lists of people prohibited from entering the country in the future.
ICP Director-General Major General Sultan Al Nuaimi said: “This (two-month visa amnesty program, which began on September 1) is a golden and final opportunity for individuals to rectify their situation.” He added: “There will be no extenuating circumstances and there will be no legal proceedings.”
Al Nuaimi said: “An overwhelming number of cases have been received, and many of them have had their situations adjusted during this period.”
Authorities are monitoring the location of violators and plan to impose fines and deport them, and they will not be allowed to enter the UAE unless the fines are resolved.
He said some people had not yet left the country, and called on those who had received exit permits to leave by the deadline.
The total number of people whose status has been adjusted within the amnesty program will be announced upon completion. Many people with special circumstances received support from airlines through discounted or free flights.
In September, Dubai’s Directorate General of Residency and Residency announced that 7,401 exit permits were issued to offenders wishing to return to their home countries during the amnesty program, while around 20,000 people’s residence status had been regularized. did.
