Sharjah authorities launched the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) first Holy Quran TV channel on Friday, August 16, under the slogan “Be with Allah and you will know that Allah is with you.”
This comes under the directives of Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
This is part of Sharjah Broadcasting Authority’s efforts to expand its media and education activities.
Available 24 hours a day, the new channel will provide viewers with a wide range of content including Quranic recitations, Quranic study references and Quranic lectures.
Additionally, the channel will broadcast live Friday Prayer, Tarawih Prayer and Qiyam Prayer every week during the holy month of Ramadan.
Short educational programs will be conducted to simplify religious concepts and make them more understandable to the general public.
SBA Director Salem Ali Al Ghaithi stressed the importance of the Ruler of Sharjah’s support for the establishment of the channel to spread the teachings of the Holy Quran, reported Emirates News Agency (WAM).
“The initiative aims to provide a specialized media platform for the delivery of meaningful and inspiring religious content. Furthermore, it aims to set a benchmark for religious media not only in the UAE but across the Islamic world, with the goal of creating a positive impact on audiences and society at large,” Al Ghaithi added.
