The Atlanta Falcons didn’t have their best game on Sunday, but they did enough to win an important divisional matchup against the New Orleans Saints. Good teams find ways to overcome adversity. That’s what the Falcons did in Week 4. On a day when the offense was held without a touchdown, the Falcons scored 26 points with a little help from the defense and special teams.
It always feels good to beat the Saints, but this team has a lot to clean up. Quarterback Kirk Cousins was lackluster, tight end Kyle Pitts was held up without a catch, and the pass rush was non-existent for much of the game. But there were plenty of encouraging signs, including Troy Andersen’s pick-six and KhaDarel Hodge’s fumble recovery for a touchdown.
Younghoe Koo completed the perfect game with a 58-yard field goal, clinching the victory. See how Falcons fans on Twitter reacted to Sunday’s 26-24 victory over the Saints.
“It was great there. It felt like real home field advantage,” Raheem Morris said of the crowd at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
