Kansas football fans and college football aficionados reacted en masse on Twitter after the Jayhawks’ 32-28 loss to West Virginia on Saturday.
Kansas led 28-17 late in the fourth quarter and appeared to be on track to post its first Big 12 win of the season, but an unexpected and brutal defeat ensued, with fans on social media having no shortage of reactions.
West Virginia stormed back with two scores, including a touchdown pass from Garrett Green to Rodney Gallagher III with 37 seconds left in the game, sealing the comeback victory for the Mountaineers.
The shocking incident came after a weather delay of nearly an hour due to lightning in Morgantown, adding to the game’s chaotic ending.
For Kansas fans, the collapse was all too familiar, and Twitter quickly became an avenue for frustration.
As Kansas football fans, we have been through some truly brutal losses and seasons over the years, but these last three losses have been the most brutal stretch I can remember. Three truly gut-wrenching losses. Change has to happen. Something has to change.

Jeff Grimes should stay at West Virginia. Jim Zebrowski should take the field as the full-time OC.

I didn’t watch the game, but Kelly Leipold isn’t going to like the crowd at Arrowhead for a 1-3 Kansas team.
