Ticketing websites are crashing today after 90s superstars Trevor and Simon announced a comeback stadium reunion tour.
The duo, who had a string of hits including “Swing Your Pants” and “Jennifer Juniper” 30 years ago, split up on bad terms after the demise of “Live and Kicking,” and industry experts were convinced they would never reunite.
“It was an irreconcilable difference,” said Newsump music reporter Simon will.i.ams.
“Ultimately, they just couldn’t stand being in the same room as each other.
“Trevor insisted on hanging the toilet roll with the end facing forward and Simon always hung it facing towards the wall. They used to argue a lot about it.
“It all culminated when Trevor sold the triple platinum disc he won for ‘We don’t do duvets’, bought thousands of rolls of toilet paper and hung them all face-up in Simon’s dressing room.”
The pair attempted separate careers, with Simon finding minor success with No Flying Birds, a band he formed with Emu for Pink Windmill shows, while Trevor endured a series of scandals, mainly involving Gordon the Gopher and Gunge Tank.
The pair are expected to sell out Wembley tickets for a month next summer.
