Tony Khan would be interested in bringing back War of the Worlds.
Throughout the 2010s, New Japan Pro Wrestling and Ring of Honor worked together to host a number of War of the Worlds and Global Wars events. These events allow talent from both promotions to share the ring on the biggest stage in the country.

At the time of publication, the previous War of the Worlds event took place in May 2019. As it turns out, Tony Khan is open to bringing the concept back.
“Yes, I would love to do that,” Khan said in a new interview with The Rocker Morning Show. We’ve been building something really special with Forbidden Door landing in North America, now expanding into Europe, and AEW going to Japan for Wrestle Dynasty. We have had a great collaboration with New Japan Pro Wrestling, so we would love to expand on that. That’s certainly true. A few years ago, we had not yet started working together. It’s kind of amazing how much AEW has been able to do in the last few years in terms of working with international pro wrestling promotions like New Japan Pro Wrestling and Lucha. With Libre in Mexico, we’ve really grown our business overseas, partnering with some of the best international wrestling promotions to put on great matches. โ
