EXCLUSIVE: Deadline has learned that Luber Roechlin Entertainment has expanded its team with the addition of managers Joe Bello and Mike Griffin, both of whom will be based out of the company’s Los Angeles office.
Bello joins from Anonymous Content, where he served as manager for over four and a half years. Clients he has brought to Luber Rocklin include actors Joseph Mawle (The Lord of the Rings: The Power of the Ring), Tamzin Merchant (Carnival Row), Kai Luke Bloomer (Moffy), Kit Clark (Hellraiser), Whoopi Van Laam (The Meg 2), Terreak Jarrett (Daddy) and Paris and Dylan Brosnan (Unholy Trinity).
Griffin joins the company after six years at Make Good Content, a boutique management and production company whose clients have included writers such as Emmy Award-winner Dennis McNicholas (SNL) and talent such as Creed Bratton (The Office), Bobby Naderi (The Beekeeper), Michaela Hoover (Superman), Will Coban (The Boys in the Boat), Sahana Srinivasan (The Pradeeps of Pittsburgh), Aaron Branch (Unstable) and Sierra Kato (The Sex Lives of College Girls).
During his time at Make Good, Griffin’s producing resume includes serving as co-producer on the animated series “Woman in the Book” for CryptoTV and Facebook Watch, and as co-producer on the Showtime documentary series “The Comedy Store.” He began his career as an assistant in ICM’s film talent department, later working as an assistant to Mel Gibson on projects such as the Oscar-winning “Hacksaw Ridge” and the action film “Blood Father.”
Prior to joining Anonymous, Bello spent over five years at WME as an agent trainee in their film and music divisions. After graduating, she worked at Politico before moving into the entertainment industry.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Mike and Joe to the Luber Rocklin team,” co-president Matt Luber said in a statement to Deadline. “Mike has great experience working with actors, writers and directors, and he knows how to bring projects together for his clients, which is something we’ve emphasized and successfully done at Luber Rocklin for years.”
Luber continued, “Joe has a lot of experience working with actors. He has good taste and knows what it takes to advance an actor’s career. They both love the industry and are willing to put in the hard work and hard work, so I think they’ll fit in well.”
Luber Rocklin Entertainment recently wrapped production on The Upside of Unrequited, a coming-of-age comedy directed by the Shakespeare sisters, and Falling, a romantic drama starring KJ Apa, Isabel May, Emma Laird and Archie Renault. The company also recently produced One Fast Move, a motorcycle racing movie starring Apa and Maia Leficco, which was the number one movie released on Prime Video last week.
Other titles produced by the company include “The Other Zoey,” starring Josephine Langford and Drew Starkey, and “Upgraded,” starring Camila Mendes and Renaud.
