It’s like a billion little stars are spelling out her name. Taylor Swift is currently the richest female musician with an estimated net worth of $1.6 billion.
According to Forbes magazine, the “Untouchables” singer has overtaken Rihanna (worth $1.4 billion). Swift’s unstoppable Elas Tour (worth an estimated $600 million in royalties and tours), music catalog (worth more than $600 million), and real estate (worth an estimated $125 million) are some of the reasons.
Last year, the bejeweled businessman became the first billionaire in history solely through songwriting and performance.
It’s only in the past year that Swift’s financial portfolio has strengthened as she has performed three-hour shows in 21 cities across Asia, Australia, and Europe. Every stop had an economic impact. Swift’s four-night stay in Tokyo brought in an estimated $228 million domestically. In Sydney, Australia, Swift earned an estimated $43.3 from merchandise alone. Neighboring countries were outraged that the singer, who had an exclusive contract with Singapore, was denied the golden touch of an Elas tour.
