😳 how do u fix this 😳 save your cash fo emergency number if you cann
I would be willing to have someone stay with me if they need a place to stay. I think that’s what this is going to take. People pitching in nd helping strangers who now have nothing.
Being cut off from electricity and water for 5 days from a flood was bad enough. Red cross landed helicopters in the nearby soccer field and were able to bring us food and water in dry ice coolers. Our house was an island, basement flooded a few feet, 1 bridge washed out but for the most part we just had a big mess to clean up. A few people lost their house because it flooded past the 2nd or 3rd story roof so by comparison we felt lucky. Almost 15 years later and the town is finally somewhat back to normal but everyone still remembers and talks about those days. I can't imagine when the infostructure is just… gone. Even for us it felt like we were on our own to fend for ourselves and we really struggled even with the help of good neighbors. If this stuff is going to be happening more and more frequently we really need to figure out better ways to get people out, especially before everything hits. The issue is that once people realize they do need to evacuate it's usually far too late and the easiest or typical routes of travel are already unpassable. The moment we had to take backroads and barely made it home from the school, we should of packed our bags then and there and left for higher ground. We waited and then it was too late and the next thing we know the fire dept is using resources to come get us because what we thought was a few inches of water in our driveway was actually several feet deep of water that had washed out the driveway and adjacent sidewalk and was moving so quickly it was moving ENTIRE trees that had fallen including one that got slammed through one side of a church down the road and right out the other side. Wild stuff I don't wish anyone to experience in their lifetime.
Where is the Government? Is the National Guard being sent to go help ? She is really traumatized – I hope they can move back to the general area in a couple years to a neighboring town if any options exist. With war between russia and their neighbors. — OUR./ USA Power Grid will prob be targeted so. we need to. be ready – we could be pulled into something very bad.
I live in Dallas, but I’m from North Carolina. My heart is just so broken. I lived in Charlotte. I hope God get them through this. I really do.❤
Tough interview! God bless all effected by Helene!
This is so sad and horrifying. Those of us who understand the science knew this is what would happen with climate change. The human cost is much too high. What are we doing? We need to stop the greedy from ravaging nature. Despite what liars say, carbon emissions are causing this, and there are even more damaging greenhouse gases that will cause more apocalyptic conditions. People moved to the mountains for safety, but nowhere is safe from global climate change.
AND STUPID REPUBLICAN CONTEMT GUY CATTURD ON X , SAID IT WAS NOTHING,. BECAUSE NOTHING HAPPENED TO HIS HOUSE IN FLORIDA..SAID .DEMOCRATS OVERHYPE THINGS..🤬🤬🖕🖕🖕
Thank black rock because now they can mine their lithium and quartz deposits that they were trying to press the ppl to sell and after they lost the case to take the property with imminent domain it had to be a natural disaster or they had to agree to sell.imagine that few days later a damm hurricane puts those exact homes under 1p feet of water with no flood insurance bc it dont flood there untill u tell black rock no.
Really sad 😑
It breaks my heart for all affected by huricane but ill never understand why they choose to stay and wait but not evacuate days before when they are told.
Sounds like many Elderly are in major trouble. Do they have help??
Oh please, this is not flooding the earth. Stupid thing to say
Imagine if Trump were in office. "Here, have some paper towels!"

Will the republicans of western north carolina know accept climate change as something real???????
this is bad my son lives near boone in the mountains; they were trapped at house roads to and from property collapsed and blocked by trees; no power of phones; thankfully the area is full of natural springs so waters not a problem!
sadly, US money for Ukraine GBY
Crushing emotionally to watch this! God protect these people!
So communities were WIPED OFF THE FACE OF THE MAP but only 102 deaths??? Yeah, ok.
I hope that more help comes to Asheville very soon. My heart goes out to everyone who has been affected by Helene. I cannot even imagine
What they are going through. God bless you. I am crying with this young lady😢
Joe Biden send 43 billion dollars to these 6 states. It’s a big problem, why do you think your power keeps going out and water is becoming undrinkable.
To donate to the deviation caused by Hurricane Helene. Just google, Samaritans Purse .Org. Franklin Graham is the president. The staff members are on the ground in all five locations.
Now I know why billions of dollars have been spent on NASA secret missions to the space, they been installing devices that can cause hurricanes, just follow the money and it will tell you the long list of profiteers behind this unlawful action being taken against the working class who are making the economy going, now people will need new houses which will wil jack up the housing prices up instead of putting regulations to prevent greedy investors from exploiting the poor devistaded families, insurance bills will jump to the roof; can't find a better excuse than that right!, bankers and the housing industry investors are the ones behind all this destruction, like it or not .
In the interview she said she "drove those roads" her whole life and couldn't recognize where she was. Let that sink in. Your world literally changes overnight. So many more Climate Refugees added to the already long list.
They just called the Tennessee National Guard to the middle east instead of to us in Tennessee… We need them to help with clean up 😢 we still have many missing. This is worse than Katrina.
Where's the help?? I feel so much for them because we've seen the kind of help Lahaina got. Prayers for all of you stay strong you are all you got right now❤❤❤❤😢😢😢
Definitely PTSD (continuing) experience.
It's sad but yet there is no global warming.
