USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards have released their fall best rankings, and a town in Vermont’s Green Mountains region has been named the best place in the country to see fall foliage.
The annual awards showcase the best in travel, culinary and lifestyle, with winners selected by public vote after recommendations from industry experts.
Stowe, Vermont, ranked 7th for the beauty of its autumn foliage in the 2024 Best of Fall Awards, which ranks autumn destinations across the United States in various categories.

Accuweather forecasts that Vermont’s fall foliage is expected to peak in early to mid-October, making it the best month to visit Stowe in the fall.
More than 45 trails circle the town’s parks and forests, providing the perfect opportunity to hike or bike and explore the fall colors.
