In recent days, social media has been buzzing with reactions to Chadwick Boseman’s final Twitter post in support of Kamala Harris.
The Black Panther actor passed away in 2020 at age 43 after a four-year battle with colon cancer.
Just weeks before his death, Boseman voiced his support for Harris when she became Joe Biden’s running mate in 2020, just months before she and Biden defeated Donald Trump in the presidential election.
The post included a photo of him and Harris laughing and embracing each other at an immigrant freedom event in 2018. You can see the full post here.

Last weekend (July 21), Biden formally withdrew from the US Democratic presidential nomination, amid ongoing concerns about his fitness for office following a poor performance in the first presidential debate with President Trump.
During a recent press conference at the NATO summit, Biden mistakenly referred to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as “President Putin” and Vice President Kamala Harris as “President Trump.”
After watching the June 27 presidential debate, Stephen Colbert said Biden’s terrible performance “shortened my life by a year.”
Author Stephen King also suggested Biden should step down after the debate, saying it would be in the country’s “interest” to do so, while George Clooney, writing in The New York Times, urged Biden to step down as the Democratic nominee, saying doing so would have the power to save democracy.
After Harris’ withdrawal, Biden immediately endorsed her as the next US president, and many stars, including Ariana Grande, Lizzo, Charlie XCX, and Barbra Streisand, quickly responded to this political situation, with media outlets such as Stereogum reporting that Harris’ campaign raised $81 million within 24 hours of Biden’s withdrawal, which, if true, would be the largest amount of money raised in a single day by any candidate in US history.
Those who supported Harris as the Democratic presidential candidate include John Legend, who called on Americans to “elect Kamala Harris for president,” as well as George Takei and Jamie Lee Curtis.
Following this support, Boseman’s tweet resurfaced and quickly garnered a lot of attention on social media, with one fan writing, “Remember this tweet from Chadwick Boseman in 2020? It was his last before his tragic passing. I repeat, especially today, and every day until we all vote together in November so democracy rules and Kamala Harris can beat President Trump.”

Chadwick Boseman would be so happy if Kamala became president in November and I would be so happy if Chadwick became president too. Oh I wish he was still here. May he rest in peace :’)
