Seven Falcons honored as Arthur Ashe Jr. Athletic Scholars

WALTHAM, Mass. – Seven Bentley University student-athletes representing a variety of sports were recently recognized by Diverse Magazine as Arthur Ashe Jr. Athletic Scholars.
Bentley’s 2024 recipients are football players Michael DiPlacido (Hudson, N.H./Buckingham Brown & Nichols) and Juan Montales (New Orleans, Louisiana/St. Augustine High School), girls basketball player Quincy Ji (Beijing, China/Long Island Lutheran High School, New York), baseball player Hunter Smith (Landera Ranch, Calif./St. Margaret’s Episcopal High School) and track and field players Dillon Pan (Sunnyvale, Calif./Homestead High School), Maddie Au (Woodside, N.Y./Financial Enterprise Academy) and Kenan Fong (Whitman, N.Y./Whitman Hanson Regular High School).
Those selected as 2024 Arthur Ashe Jr. Athletic Scholars must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5, be at least a sophomore academically and be active on campus or in the community.
Since 1992, the Arthur Ashe Jr. Athletic Scholar Awards have recognized student-athletes of color.
