After more than 40 years of sketch comedy and musical performances, the long-awaited 50th season of “Saturday Night Live” will soon be broadcast live from New York.
This breakthrough season was marked by several departures, as well as the additions of Ashley Padilla, Emil Wakim and Jane Wikuri. Fans can expect to see some familiar faces like Kenan Thompson and Bowen Yang.
Jean Smart, who won her third Emmy for playing comedian Deborah Vance on HBO’s “The Hux,” will begin Season 50 as host.
Season 50’s hosts include returning comedians like John Mulaney and Nate Bargatze, as well as big stars like Michael Keaton and Ariana Grande. This season’s performers include Chapel Lawn, Coldplay, Stevie Nicks and Billie Eilish.
Here’s what you need to know when the late-night comedy staple returns Saturday night, including whether you can expect Maya Rudolph to return with her fan-favorite Kamala Harris impression. I will.
