The NFL season is still a few weeks away from starting, but NFL RedZone host Scott Hanson already seems to be in mid-season shape.
In response to a scathing Twitter commenter saying that “RedZone sucks and is a complete waste of money,” Scott Hanson argued that the commenter was just trying to gain attention in a Twitter spam.
“My biggest takeaway is that you posted this for attention… not because you really think it through and believe it,” Hanson responded.
“But if you really believe that, don’t worry. Enjoy the commercials, the huddle shots and the nine extra shots of the replays, one of which is conclusive and… oh, I’m running out of words.”

But if you really believe that, don’t worry: Enjoy nine extra shots of commercials, huddle shots, and replays of when one…

But the longtime face of NFL RedZone didn’t stop there, posting a second tweet in which he continued to criticize the poster’s “hot take.”
“I’m very hesitant to do this because A) it could come across as mean and B) it would actually draw attention. If he only wants to watch one game, that’s his right. But just know that his passionate opinion on the future of the NFL is based on watching one game.”
I am very hesitant to do this.
A) Because it might come across as mean.
B) Because it actually gets attention.
If he only wants to watch one game, that’s his right, but know that his upcoming NFL hot takes will be based on…
…hang on…
Watching one game.

The 2024 NFL season will kick off on Sunday, September 8th with 12 games broadcast in the red zone time slot: eight in the 1pm time slot and four in the 4pm time slot.
Unfortunately for RedZone, most of the big game action in Week 1 is scheduled for primetime, including Chiefs vs. Ravens, Eagles vs. Packers, Rams vs. Lions and Jets vs. 49ers.
Some of the more compelling games that will be aired on RedZone in Week 1 include the Texans vs Colts at 1 pm ET and the Cleveland Browns vs Dallas Cowboys at 4:25 pm ET.
Chicago Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams, the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft, is also scheduled to make his debut on Sept. 8 during the 1 p.m. slot.
This isn’t the first time Hanson has made headlines this offseason, as he oddly appeared in a TikTok video filmed after his car accident.
