July 16, 2024 – The Savannah Philharmonic, a community-focused arts organization dedicated to providing the highest quality concert performances and music education throughout the Southeast, has announced a new president and three new board members.
Daphne Nash has been named president of the Savannah Philharmonic as the organization prepares for its upcoming 16th season. Following a 23-year career in New York City, Nash moved to Savannah in 2016 and began her community involvement as a volunteer. In addition to serving as president of the Savannah Philharmonic, she also serves on the board of the Owens-Thomas House and Slave Quarter and advocates for children as a court-appointed special counsel.
The newly appointed directors are:
Scott Doll is a Savannah real estate agent with a passion for helping clients find their dream residential or commercial property. Prior to moving to Savannah, Scott spent 10 years in New York City and Dallas working in marketing for Stella McCartney and Ralph Lauren, and in technology sales for Cisco, Tesla, and Red Hat. Scott has loved music since he was a child, playing the trumpet and being selected to play in the National Youth Orchestra at Carnegie Hall.
Ben Hart is President and General Manager of WJCL in Savannah. He has been with the Hearst-owned television station for over 20 years. Ben serves on the boards of directors for the Georgia Broadcasting Corporation, Frank Cullen Boys & Girls Clubs, United Way of the Coastal Empire, American Heart Association and American Traditions Vocal Collection.
Marty Sullivan moved to the Savannah area in 2012 and has been very involved in the community since his move. He currently serves as a Trustee of the Telfair Museum, sits on the U.S. Board of Directors of the Irish Georgian Society, and has collaborated on design initiatives with the Ford Field & River Club. Prior to moving to Savannah, he lived in Charleston and was very involved with Spoleto Festival USA, serving on the board of directors and chairing numerous fundraising events.
