The “Espresso” singer gave a little shout-out to her fans from North Carolina at the Columbus, Ohio, venue where she kicked off her “Short and Sweet” tour on Monday night.
Fans recorded interactions between Carpenter and his fans, which show Carpenter on stage with two dancers monitoring the audience as police sirens wailed.
Carpenter gestured to a male fan and asked the audience, “Do you see him? Sir, he’s under arrest for being too hot.”
Fans eat it up and cheer as they jump up and down with hats in their hands. The Carpenters engaged a male fan for a bit longer, asking him his name and where he was from.
