Richard Madeley has revealed that he was once dropped from an entertainment show (via Metro ).
The presenter shared the news on Good Morning Britain, interviewing actor David Harewood alongside Susanna Reid.
The star was asked about a post on his X/Twitter account, in which he revealed that he had been promised a role but that it was canceled at the last minute.

Mr. Madeley then explained why he brought up the subject of redundancy and admitted that he had been in a similar situation.
“The reason I wanted you to tell me is that something very similar happened to me a few years ago,” he said. โI did a pilot for a big, new entertainment show, and I was told it went well.โ
The host didn’t give any details about the show, only that it was featured in the series and then passed on to someone else. “We got commissions, we got pilots, we got 30 series, and then they passed it on to someone else. That’s our life.”

Mr. Harewood expressed sympathy and reassured Mr. Madeley. “They’re gone, Richard? You can’t say they’re gone, you’re a star!” he laughed.
Elsewhere, Good Morning Britain host Kate Garraway recently shared a sweet milestone with her daughter Darcey. “And just like that, she was off! That little helpless baby we brought home from the hospital 18 years ago went to college!” Garraway shared in an Instagram post .
“It’s an emotional moment on many levels and the house is quiet. But Darcy, we couldn’t be more proud of you as you start a new chapter in your life and we know your dad will always be with you.” I know you are there.โ
