Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia in recent weeks, but while a move seems unlikely to go ahead, rumours continue to circulate about how much the Saudis are prepared to spend on the Brazilian.
After rumors circulated that a Vinicius deal could exceed 1 billion euros, MD cited a report from El Chiringuito saying that Saudi Arabia was willing to pay 500 million euros to sign the superstar. There are also rumors that Vinicius might consider an offer if one comes his way, but so far only speculation has reached his camp. But Real Madrid will not do that. They will demand a release clause of 1 billion euros before Vinicius is allowed to move.
Things could get even more interesting next season, when Vinicius will have just two years left on his contract and a new deal will be up for discussion. As cynics will point out, Saudi Arabia’s interest will be an asset in any negotiations. Likewise, Real Madrid could consider making an outrageous offer if Vinicius does not agree to renew his contract.
