Antonio Pierce has expressed his dissatisfaction with the Las Vegas Raiders’ approach.
The head coach seemed to question the tenacity of some of his players late in Sunday’s 36-22 loss to the Carolina Panthers, and Pierce hinted there could be consequences down the line.
“Obviously as the game went on, some guys made business decisions,” Pierce said in his post-match press conference, saying he thought his team “underperformed” on Sunday. “We’re going to continue to make business decisions going forward as well.”
Just one week after a 26-23 win over the Baltimore Ravens, the Raiders suffered a major setback on Sunday when 2023 No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young was benched and replaced by Andy Dalton, who became the first NFL quarterback this season to throw for at least 300 yards (319 yards) and three touchdowns in a game.
In the first home game of the season at Allegiant Stadium, fans repeatedly booed the offense, which only managed seven points through the third quarter.

“I would have booed him too,” Pierce said.
The Raiders will host the Cleveland Browns next Sunday.
