Peloton has added a new service to its Peloton Entertainment portfolio: Amazon Kindle.
This means you can now read your Amazon Kindle books while doing your Peloton workout.
This feature is available on Peloton Bike, Bike+, Peloton Tread, and Tread+. Unfortunately, it’s not available on Peloton Row at this time.

Amazon announced the feature on Tuesday and it’s already available on most of its devices.
To access your Amazon Kindle books on Amazon, head to “Entertainment” at the bottom of your device. There, you’ll see a new option for “Amazon Kindle” alongside other options like Disney+ and Netflix.

Once you press it, you will have to log into your Amazon account (create one if you don’t have one yet). You can save your login information so you don’t have to manually enter your login credentials every time.
Once you’re logged in, your home screen will show you a list of your most recent Kindle books.

You can choose any book and start reading right away.
You can scroll through your Kindle library on Peloton or search for the author of a specific title to find it easily.

Since this is a Peloton Entertainment workout, click “Start Workout” at the top of the screen to tell Peloton to start recording your data and save the workout to your profile.
You can also use the new “Just Guidance” feature to follow a structured training plan while reading your Kindle book.

At this time, you can only browse and read books that you have previously purchased. If you want to purchase new books to read while taking a Peloton class, you will need to purchase the books using another device, such as your phone, computer, or another Kindle e-reader. Once purchased, you can update your library and access your books in the Peloton Kindle app.
If you’ve already started reading a book on another device, when you open it on Peloton it will sync to the last page you had open.
Turning the pages of your e-book on Peloton is intuitive and easy: tap the right side of the screen to go to the next page and the left side of the screen to go back to the previous page.

For those of you who don’t know, when Peloton Entertainment was first released, Amazon Prime Video was one of the early options available for Peloton Entertainment. While Amazon Prime Video was available, there was a workaround to access and read Kindle books through that app. Unfortunately, the Amazon Prime Video option has been removed and has not returned. But with today’s news, accessing Kindle books is now much easier than before.
And just in case you were wondering, many Peloton instructors have written books in recent years, many of which are available as eBooks on Kindle. You can see a list of books by Peloton instructors here.
