Connections is the latest puzzle game from The New York Times. In this game, you sort 16 words into four secret groups (for now) by uncovering the relationships between the words. The puzzles reset every night at midnight, with each new puzzle varying in difficulty. Like Wordle, you can track your streak and compare your scores with your friends.
Some days are more difficult than others, so if you’re struggling a bit to solve today’s “Connections” puzzle, check out our tips and tricks below, and if you’re still not sure, we’ll give you today’s answer at the end.
How to play Connection
In Connections, you’re presented with a grid of 16 words. Your goal is to organize these words into sets of four and identify the connections that connect them. These sets include concepts such as the title of a video game franchise, sequels in a book series, shades of red, and names of chain restaurants.
Typically, some words will fit into multiple themes, but there is only one answer that is 100% correct. Shuffling and rearranging your grid of words can help you get a better sense of potential connections.
Each group is color-coded: the yellow group is the easiest to see, followed by the green, blue, and purple groups.
Choose four words[送信]Press . If you guess correctly, those four words will be removed from the grid and the theme that connects them will be revealed. If you guess incorrectly, it will count as a mistake. You can only make four mistakes before the game ends.
