It’s Sunday in the NFL, which means lots of big plays and touchdowns, but unfortunately it also means injuries. We are keeping track of all the notable injuries that occurred during Sunday’s series of games.
Perhaps the biggest injury of the day was to Chiefs star wideout Laci Rice. Kansas City won the first four games in a row, but could be without Rice for the rest of the season. Rice left midway through the first half with a knee injury, and ESPN reports that the Chiefs believe the second-year receiver may be suffering from a torn ACL. “It’s not good,” head coach Andy Reid said. It’s a big blow for the reigning Super Bowl champions.
Other notable injuries include Bengals edge rusher Trey Hendrickson, Buccaneers wide receiver Trey Palmer, Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson and running back Jonathan Taylor, Steelers These include running back Cordarrelle Patterson and Saints tight end Taysom Hill.
Below is a team-by-team list of notable injuries that occurred in Sunday’s Week 4 game.
LG Teven Jenkins (ribs): Chicago’s starting offensive lineman will miss the remainder of Sunday’s game against the Rams with a rib injury. DE Trey Hendrickson (neck): Cincinnati’s star pass rusher left the field midway through the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game against the Panthers with a neck injury. After the game, head coach Zac Taylor described Hendrickson’s injury as a stabbing. However, there were reports that Hendrickson’s right arm was in a sling as he left the stadium. LB Jordan Hicks (elbow): The veteran walked into the locker room during the first half of the Raiders game. He was listed as questionable for return.
G Ethan Pocic (ankle): The Browns lineman left the team in Week 4 and his return was questionable. WR Trey Palmer (concussion): Tampa Bay’s wideout will miss the remainder of Tampa’s game against the Eagles due to a concussion. WR Laci Rice (knee): The Chiefs were dealt a huge blow when their star WR injured his knee early in the game against the Chargers. He was sent off the field in the first half and was immediately ruled out. At halftime, head coach Andy Reid said the injury was “not good.” According to ESPN, there are concerns that Rice may have suffered a torn ACL. Read more about Rice’s injury here. Reed said Monday. There is no clear schedule QB Anthony Richardson (hip): Richardson was sidelined with a hip injury in the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the Steelers. Reserve Joe Flacco quickly threw a touchdown pass, giving the Colts a 17-0 lead. Indianapolis ultimately won 27-24. “I’m feeling a little bit of pain,” Richardson said after the game. โBut great execution. [by] Everyone on the field. I think it will work. RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle): The Colts’ Pro Bowl runner injured his ankle in the fourth quarter and his return was questionable. “I feel pretty good,” Taylor said via ESPN after the game. โNow that we have the win, we are looking forward to attacking this week as it will be another tough one.โ
S Tyler Owens (shoulder): The rookie special teams player left the game against the Cardinals and was listed as questionable for return.

S Tony Adams: Adams was tested in the medical tent during the first half of Sunday’s game against the Broncos. WR Christian Watson (ankle): Watson was ruled out with an ankle injury in Green Bay’s showdown with the Vikings. “I talked to Christian and he said he thinks it’s just a sprain,” head coach Matt LaFleur said after the game. It was later reported that Watson was believed to have suffered a high ankle sprain. OT Kaydan Wallace (ankle): The Patriots rookie was carted from the sideline to the locker room during the first half of the game against the 49ers. He was excluded because he was listed as a suspect.
S Kyle Dugger (ankle): Like Wallace, Dugger was listed as questionable to return to the 49ers game and was ruled out. He has an ankle injury.
C David Andrews (shoulder): The Patriots lost their starting center against the 49ers.

LB Shaq Thompson (Achilles): Carolina linebacker recognized on instagram He said he will miss this season after suffering a torn Achilles tendon, but said he will not retire and will return next year. RB/TE Taysom Hill (abdominal): Hill held his chest before heading to the Saints’ injury tent. LB Willie Gay Jr. (hand): Saints LB was out with a hand injury.

RB Cordarrelle Patterson (ankle): Patterson saw more playing time due to Jalen Warren’s absence, but left the field in the first half with an ankle injury.
