France international Adrien Rabiot (29) remains a free agent after rejecting an offer to stay at Juventus and sign a new contract.
The Frenchman rejected an offer from the Serie A club to renew his contract when it expired earlier this summer in favour of a new challenge, but that new challenge is yet to materialise. Manchester United had previously shown considerable interest in Rabiot but L’Equipe reports they have now given up on the move, making it bad timing for a player keen to return to active duty.
But another Premier League side is now interested – Liverpool. L’Equipe understands the Merseyside club are looking to add depth to their midfield and are keeping an eye on Rabiot’s situation. There is still a chance that Rabiot will stay in Italy, with Inter Milan also interested, but Bayern Munich are also interested.
None of the aforementioned suitors are in any particular rush to sign him, especially given that they could potentially sign him at the end of the transfer window.
