Angela Brown and Rob Owens have been announced as Mammoth’s new touring division leaders.
LAWRENCE, Kan., July 30, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Today, independent live music entertainment company Mammoth unveiled its new touring division. The company appointed noted music and touring industry veterans Rob Owens and Angela Brown to head the new division. With a combined 50 years of experience, Angela Brown and Rob Owens continue to demonstrate why major artists are moving away from traditional touring companies, offering a more profitable alternative to touring partnerships.
For 19 years, Mammoth Touring has collaborated on tours with many notable artists, including Cardi B, Rod Wave, Future, Turnpike Troubadour, Kansas, Mamamoo, Moneybagg Yo, Chapel Hill, Future, Ms. Lauryn Hill & the Fugees, In This Moment, Lil Baby, Tracy Lawrence, Clay Walker, and many more. This year has been a landmark one for the company, who recently announced they will be producing acclaimed hip-hop artist JT’s City Cinderella Tour along with AG Entertainment Touring, as well as a US tour for Jamaican dancehall legend Buju Banton.
The leadership of Rob Owens and Angela Brown is driving the success of this new division. Owens will be appointed President of Global Touring in 2023, and Brown is the newest member to join the team as President of Global Tour Marketing in 2024. “I am proud to be part of a team with such a strong track record. We are focused on growth, building long-term partnerships and expanding Mammoth’s impact both domestically and internationally,” said Owens. Owens and Brown bring their extensive experience to the table, working alongside the rest of the Mammoth team and partners AG Entertainment and CTS Eventim.
Owens will be based out of Mammoth’s new tour office, headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, and will be instrumental in the company’s continued growth towards a national expansion. With a strong background and over 25 years of experience in the entertainment and booking industry, Owens knows the ins and outs of the field. Rob’s extensive experience booking shows and tours for Glass Animals, Maggie Rogers, Rufus Du Sol, Odessa and Maren Morris is a great addition to the Mammoth team.
Angela Brown, a St. Louis native with nearly 30 years of marketing experience, is excited about the future. “Being part of the team launching a new component of an already proven industry leader like Mammoth is literally a professional dream come true,” added Brown. “Mammoth has several exciting live entertainment announcements coming up this year and I am excited to lead the marketing team in their success.”
Prior to joining Mammoth, Brown held several roles during his time at Live Nation, including Vice President of Midwest Marketing. Throughout his career, Brown has led marketing for shows for global superstars and box office giants such as Beyoncé, Billy Joel, Kevin Hart, Luke Bryan and Janet Jackson.
JT’s City Cinderella Tour was announced for July 9, 2024. The tour will kick off in Kansas City on August 20 and will visit 21 cities across the United States, including Dallas, TX, Chicago, IL, Washington DC, Philadelphia, PA, Atlanta, GA, Los Angeles, CA, and New York, NY.
MAMMOTH will continue to expand across the U.S. and globally, pursuing unique partnerships with artists, independent promoters and venues.
