She may be “OOMF” but fans are heartbroken.

In a new trailer for LE SSERAFIM’s upcoming documentary series “MAKE IT LOOK EASY,” fans spotted Eunchae using the Twitter app (now known as X) to read netizens’ comments. While this revelation has many FEARNOTS upset, it’s not surprising considering the amount of hateful comments the maknae has been receiving as of late.
LE SSERAFIM’s documentary has already stirred emotions with the first trailer, which shows the members in various states of distress, from Yunjin crying to Chaewon receiving an IV drip. With such rare glimpses into the lives of their idols, fans are left heartbroken by their experiences, and many worried they might miss out on the most moving scenes. Now, the group has released individual trailers for each member, giving fans an up-close look into their most personal struggles.

In Eunchae’s trailer, the 17-year-old idol is seen opening the X-App and scrolling through posts during what appears to be a schedule. Though the screen is blurry, she can be seen reading comments that appear to be about her work as an MC on KBS Music Bank. It’s unclear from the footage if the posts are in Korean, English, or both.

Over the past few months, LE SSERAFIM has been a hotbed of harsh criticism, with Eunchae bearing the brunt of many of the comments. The most nasty posts began after the group’s performance at Coachella earlier this year, where they were met with harsh criticism over their live vocals. Eunchae in particular was a frequent target, with her personal Instagram account quickly flooded with harmful comments questioning her abilities and whether she was ready for her debut.

The comments continued to proliferate after ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin spoke out about LE SSERAFIM and its agency Source Music. Earlier this month, Source Music filed a lawsuit against Min Hee-jin, claiming that her statements (including the claim that LE SSERAFIM’s debut led HYBE LABELS to ignore NewJeans) led to a torrent of hateful comments against the group.
Fans are therefore concerned and dismayed to learn that Eunchae may also be seeing harassment on other platforms, with many pleading for her to delete the apps while others lament how the comments must be affecting her at such a vulnerable age.

Some fans have tried to lighten the mood by joking that Eunchae is “amazing,” but concern is spreading among FEARNOTs. In a narration in the first trailer, Eunchae can be heard saying, “For me, the word ‘success’ feels really far away.” In the second trailer, Eunchae says, “I want everyone to say I’m good, instead of giving me mixed reactions.”
I always say this… Eun Chae is only 17. The stress and experiences she has are not normal. I don’t care if she should be better or who started it. She is a 17 year old girl who is still learning and growing. You weirdos are so inhumane for targeting her.

Eagle-eyed fans noticed that the video of Eunchae reading the post is several years old, leading many to hope that she’s no longer using the app. That said, there were so many vicious comments directed at all five members of LE SSERAFIM that the group’s Instagram comment feature was disabled in late June of this year, so the members no doubt saw a lot of the comments.
That video is from 2022 so I really hope Eun Chae isn’t still scrolling through Twitter. This app is awful and I don’t want her to see the awful things these people say.
