Former President Donald Trump on Monday blasted Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee, for suddenly pretending to be concerned about the ongoing border incursions, saying she had been given 3 1/2 years to fix the problem.
“Millions of people come in a month. And [Harris] She gets up and pretends to do something. She is 3 and a half years old. [to stop it]” Trump said in an X interview with owner Elon Musk.
The Republican presidential candidate also noted that Biden and Harris have at least “five more months” to stay in office if they want to resolve the crisis, but predicted they “will do nothing”.
“It’s all lip service,” Trump said. “She’s incompetent, he’s incompetent. Frankly, I think she’s more incompetent than he is, which makes sense considering he’s not very good.”
The former president’s remarks were likely a reference to comments Harris made on the campaign trail recently, in which she tried to convince the public she was serious about stopping the ongoing invasion. Specifically, the sitting vice president attacked Harris for Trump’s opposition to a badly negotiated congressional bill proposed earlier this year that would have enshrined the Biden-Harris Invasion into federal law.
“Donald Trump doesn’t want to solve this problem,” Harris declared, promising to sign a disastrous border bill if elected in November.
Harris, who has suddenly taken a tough stance on border security, is one of the biggest causes (or biggest perpetrators) of the crisis. The U.S. border chief tasked by Biden with managing this disaster has allowed millions of illegal immigrants to violate U.S. sovereignty. According to the Washington Examiner, an estimated 10 million foreign nationals have entered the U.S. illegally since Biden took office in January 2021.

Governor Harris’ attempts to feign concern about an invasion are further undermined by her past support for open border policies. In recent years, Governor Harris has voiced support for abolishing ICE and detention facilities that hold illegal immigrants, granting amnesty to illegal aliens, and denying concerns that suspected terrorists would be able to enter the United States through an open southern border. Governor Harris also likened ICE to the Ku Klux Klan during a 2018 Senate hearing.
