Rumors are circulating that Kaley Cuoco might be leaving The Big Bang Theory, but the actress has made it clear that she’s not leaving anytime soon. Cuoco plays the lovable Penny on CBS’s top-rated sitcom and has been a part of the cast for the past nine years.
Cuoco shared a photo of Penny on Instagram, asking, “WHAT?!”, writing, “The look on her face when she heard rumors that I was leaving The Big Bang Theory. It’s not happening. It’s never happening. It’s never happening. I’m here until the end.”
The actress has wrapped filming for season 9 of The Big Bang Theory, with the final episode airing on May 12. She posted a photo with her co-stars Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Melissa Rauch and Mayim Bialik and wrote, “@bigbangtheory_cbs season 9 is over!!! Thank you to all our fans. You all make us what we do. See you next season.”
The next episode of The Big Bang Theory season 9 will focus on Penny’s relationship with her mother-in-law, Beverly Hofstadter, who comes to visit them. Episode 23, “The Line Substitution Solution,” will air this Thursday (May 5) at 8 PM ET on the CBS network.
