⭐️ IMHO, the hatred coming from our own fellow Americans, the Republicans, towards Democrats, is due to their richness of spirit & Donald Trump & the GOP's never ending bull$hit, lying & gaslighting!
So what's her policies?

100%. From reproductive rights. To minimum wage. Clean air and water. Safe work places. All the way to SSI. You need to vote for people that will support your interest. He is a hint. None of them have an (R) behind their name. Many names are followed by a (D). Be active. Be loud.
"No generation is empowered…Action is the antidote to anxiety" now those are some incredible words
Vonnegut. Excellent!
Doesn't Jon host every Monday? I come to YouTube every Tuesday to watch but Comedy Central seems to want to keep it to themselves. All I can find is stuff like this. But where's the show?

3:30 yes! I go to Vonnegut whenever I'm down and feeling hopeless and he always picks me back up again. I just reread Slaughterhouse-Five last week!
Vote blue, our lives depend on it!
Its insane what John was in the 90s and what he is now
Subject: Urgent Action Required: Political Persecution and Human Rights Violations in Taiwan
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to urgently draw your attention to a grave matter of political persecution and human rights violations occurring in Taiwan involving Dr. Ko Wen-je, former mayor of Taipei and chairman of the Taiwan People's Party.
Dr. Ko was re-arrested under questionable conditions on September 5, 2024, at 18:00. This re-arrest comes despite a lack of substantive evidence, including financial transactions or communication records, and a previous court ruling that released him without bail. The decision to detain him again follows a prosecutor's appeal made without presenting any new evidence, raising severe concerns about the integrity of the judicial process.
Dr. Ko Wen-je is a dedicated political leader who has consistently demonstrated a genuine commitment to serving the people. Despite his defeat in the presidential election, where he secured 30% of the vote, he remains a significant figure in Taiwanese politics, holding eight seats in the legislature. Under his leadership, the Taiwan People's Party has driven numerous reforms, including changes to parliamentary procedures and judicial reforms, aimed at enhancing government oversight and accountability. These efforts have made the party and its members targets of political persecution by the ruling party.
Further complicating the situation is the involvement of a judge, reportedly affiliated with the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), who has now taken over Dr. Ko's case. This development heightens suspicions of political bias and manipulation. The rationale for Dr. Ko’s detention, based on unfounded allegations of evidence tampering and collusion, lacks any new evidence since his initial release.
Dr. Ko’s continued detention, in the absence of new evidence, represents a clear and unacceptable violation of his human rights, particularly the presumption of innocence. This case highlights a broader issue of judicial manipulation for political purposes, where legal processes are being weaponized to suppress political opposition. The unjustified detention is not only a violation of Dr. Ko’s personal liberties but also an abuse of the judicial system to undermine democratic principles.
I urge the international community, including the United Nations, Human Rights Watch, and other relevant organizations and diplomatic entities, to urgently investigate this situation. It is crucial to demand that the Taiwanese government uphold the principles of fair, transparent, and impartial judicial proceedings. The abuse of legal mechanisms for political ends must be condemned unequivocally.
Thank you for your immediate attention to this critical matter. I urge your organizations and international partners to take decisive action to prevent further human rights abuses and safeguard democratic processes in Taiwan.
Sincerely,
A Concerned Citizen
Whippets were hard to get in high school but man, we smoked a lot of dope…. Class of 81.
Wise words Jon to the young 22 year old lady in the audience.
As someone who had to share their own parents with others (high profile / worked a lot) can't thank his family enough for sharing him. We all need dad Jon Stewart.

Action is the antidote to anxiety. But it can’t be the only one if you don’t have internal support mechanisms. Aka to prevent from burnout, there’s a trio of actions that should be taken consciously, not compulsively. You can read about it from Dr.Britt Way’s Gen Dread, about dealing with eco anxiety.
In a sum, the trio: 1) action, 2) emotional engagement (grieving or sitting with your emotions), and 3) ignorance (planning a day to disengage from it). That’s how you help the world while taking care of yourself.
Typical that Stewart would like Vonnegut. The man's writings and the ideology that fueled them was adolescent, contained little more than pathos. If you want something sophisticated, nuanced and potent from that era try R. A. Lafferty
Wee John pure class!!
One of my biggest pet peeves: Adult individuals who believe ‘ kids these days’ are the ruination of society. I was born in the 50’s and witnessed the hand-wringing over everything from Elvis’s hood to bra burning to abandonment of cursive writing. Whether someone was born in 1900 or in 2000, there is a stage, usually in teens or early 20’s. when a person begins to question the status quo. Thoughts and behaviors change at that developmental stage. Disapproval is huge from those who fear change. Fortunately, people like JS understand that change is inevitable.
Some people can afford to question shxt; while others who cannot, do, but reserve the right to go to jail/prison.
We destroy our environment and people, BECAUSE of greed, not necessity. An innate human flaw… Maybe??
It's like this: What happened to Saturday Morning Cartoons. They DON'T CARE.
What matters: Is what's in your bank account!
