Olivia Munn and John Mulaney are now parents to two children.
On Sunday, the couple announced on Instagram that they had welcomed a daughter, named Mae June Mulaney, on September 14.
“My heart felt like it was going to explode,” Man wrote, adding that her daughter’s name means “plum” in Chinese.
Mulaney and Munn married in July and welcomed their son, Malcolm, into the world in 2021.
Mann said she and Mullaney welcomed their daughter via a surrogate.
“Not being able to conceive a daughter caused me so many deep emotions,” she says. “When I met my surrogate for the first time, we had a mother-to-mother conversation. She was so kind and understanding, and I knew I had found a true angel.”
She added: “Words cannot express how grateful we are to her for keeping our baby safe for nine months and making our dreams come true.”
Mann was diagnosed with a type of breast cancer called luminal B in March. The cancer was found in both breasts and her treatment included a double mastectomy.
She has been open about her journey.
In an interview with Vogue magazine in May, Munn said she had a hysterectomy the previous month, and that while the surgery had improved her quality of life, it also meant she would not be able to have children in the future. She said she plans to use a surrogate to expand her family in the future.
