Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid and Oklahoma City Thunder star Russell Westbrook have a history together. The last time the teams met, the two players got into a post-game altercation.
Embiid could have ended the battle on Sunday, but he didn’t even need to open his mouth. Instead, he slammed a thunderous dunk over Westbrook’s head and sent the guard tumbling to the floor.
Rest in peace Russell Westbrook. Great job.
Did Embiid intentionally go for the rim, knowing only Westbrook was nearby? It’s hard to say, but it seems he knew who he was jumping over after the dunk. You can see Embiid looking back at Westbrook as he gets up off the court.

The Thunder won the last time these teams met, but the dunk gave Embiid the lead in a personal duel with Westbrook.
But Westbrook once again had the last laugh, as the Thunder defeated the 76ers 122-112 on Sunday. As time expired, Westbrook gave Embiid a cold stare to announce the victory.
Still, Embiid voiced his criticism on Twitter after the game, posting a photo of a dunk but acknowledging it was a “tough loss.”
