Jimmy Kimmel responded Tuesday night to former President Donald Trump’s attack on him at a rally in Pennsylvania last week.
“He’s one of the dumbest people in history,” Trump complained. “What a dumbass human being.”
“Isn’t that cool?” Kimmel said. “He’s also mistaking me for one of his sons.”
Trump also mentioned Kimmel’s wife, writer and producer Molly McNearney.
“Should I be concerned that Mr. Trump has been mentioning my wife more than himself at his rallies this year?” Kimmel asked, referring to Melania’s absence from her husband’s public appearances.
The former president spent part of the rally complaining about Kimmel’s harsh comments at the Oscars more than six months ago.
“He’s still bothered by this joke,” Kimmel noted in amazement. “He keeps bringing it up.”
However, Trump got the punch line wrong during his Pennsylvania speech.
“I think he said, ‘Ha ha ha, he thinks he’s annoying me,’ or some other crap like that,” Trump said.
President Trump vented his frustrations about Kimmel’s hosting on Truth Social during the Oscars, and Kimmel fired back by reading the post live on air, adding that he was surprised President Trump was still awake and watching the show.
“Isn’t he done with his prison time?” Kimmel joked, in what became one of the most talked-about moments of the event.
Kimmel said Tuesday night he hoped Trump would quote him accurately, and played the footage again just to be sure.
“Look, I know your cognitive abilities are declining faster than the stock price of Truth Social, so if it would help, I’d be happy to send you one of many merchandise items commemorating what I said to you that night at the Oscars,” Kimmel offered.
He then showed off a range of “Are You In Jail Yet?” merchandise that has appeared since the event, including mugs, shirts and hats.

And now that Trump has mentioned McNearney, she has offered an even more blunt response to the former president.
