CNN —
Jamie Foxx recently stepped into a new role as father of the bride.
The Oscar-winning actor walked his daughter Corinne Fox down the aisle at her wedding over the weekend, and appeared overcome with emotion as he escorted the 30-year-old to the altar.
The touching moment was captured by his former “Jamie Foxx Show” co-star Garcelle Beauvais, who posted the video as part of a carousel of images on her verified Instagram account.
“Last night we got to witness and celebrate the love between @corinnefoxx and @joe.hooten ❤️❤️,” Beauvais wrote in the caption. “The love and respect they have for one another is so clear 🙏🏽. Corinne, you were amazing.”
The post has since been deleted, but the video has been shared on other platforms.
Fox’s brother announced his engagement to Hooten, a writer, director and TV executive, on social media in 2023.
“From the first time I saw you I knew you were my forever love 💍❤️,” she wrote in the caption of a series of photos featuring her and her loved one.
Her father shared her post with a tribute to the couple, writing, “They are the perfect example of what it means to be in love.”
“You both care about each other’s lives emotionally and physically…you support each other…congrats on your engagement,” the star wrote, “@joe.hooten when you whispered to my sweet daughter a while back that you were going to propose to her I cried tears of joy…🙏🏾❤️ and @corinnefoxx you are…and have always held a special place in my heart…you deserve so much love…so once again congratulations to you too…can’t wait to escort you to the Isle.”
The father and daughter are famously close, and she stayed by her father’s side in the months following his illness.
Earlier this year, it was announced that the pair would co-host a music quiz show.
