Can I get audio from YouTube?
When it comes to saving music or other forms of audio from YouTube, you have a few different options to choose from, depending on what you want to do with it.
How to download music from YouTube’s audio library
One option available to everyone with a YouTube account is the free music library in YouTube Studio. These tracks are available to creators to use in their videos without worrying about infringing copyright. Here’s where to find them:
For free audio files, log in to YouTube and click on your user profile picture in the top right corner of the screen. Select YouTube Studio from the drop-down menu.
Scroll to the bottom of the menu on the left side of the screen and select “Audio Library.”
Use the “Music” tab to browse available music, the “Sound Effects” tab to browse sound effects, and the “Starred” tab to see a list of audio clips you’ve previously favorited.
Click the play button (a triangle in a circle) to the left of the track name to listen to a preview, or select the star icon to mark it as a favorite for future reference.
To download a track, highlight it and click the “Download” button that appears instead of the date on the right.
Clicking on the icon of three horizontal bars to the left of the search field opens a drop-down menu where you can choose from several search criteria (genre, mood, artist name, etc.).
Please pay attention to the attribution details of tracks you download from the Audio Library. Not all tracks require you to credit the creator, but many do.

There are several ways to convert videos into audio files, but they require steps that violate YouTube’s terms of service. To stay as legal as possible, you should use YouTube Premium tools.
Download from YouTube Music
The process of saving music to listen to later on YouTube Music is very simple.
Saving music this way means you can listen to it whenever you want, but you won’t be able to use the audio file in other apps or programs – for example, you can’t download a song to use as a backing track for your own videos.
Find the song you want to save and start listening to it.
Tap on the three-dot icon (…) just to the right of the song title and a pop-up menu will open.
Select “Download” from the menu and wait for the download to complete.

You can find your saved music by returning to the main YouTube Music page and selecting your profile picture in the top-right corner of the screen.
In the pop-up menu[ダウンロード]Tap[ダウンロードした曲]Select to see a list of all the songs you’ve saved.

As long as you’re a YouTube Premium member, you can listen to your saved music anytime, with or without an internet connection.
Do I need YouTube Premium to download?
Just like downloading videos from YouTube, the only way to save music without violating their terms of service is to become a YouTube Premium member, which costs a monthly or yearly fee but removes ads and allows downloads.
A YouTube Premium membership also includes YouTube Music Premium and is required to download media without risking account suspension or legal action.
Downloading copyrighted material always carries a certain risk, especially if you do not have the proper rights and ownership. The risk increases if you share or use this material in other projects without permission. If you download music from YouTube, we strongly recommend that you only download music for which you own the rights or that is in the public domain.
