WTOK-TV is part of a landmark rights deal that will bring Pelicans basketball games free to over-the-air television to more than 4 million homes in multiple states, including Mississippi.

“We are excited to bring more than 75 Pelicans LIVE basketball games to viewers in eastern Mississippi and western Alabama,” said WTOK-TV Vice President and General Manager Jack Harms.

“We know people want free programming, especially live sports programming. This will make the Pelicans accessible to as many fans as possible from Mississippi State to Louisiana to Alabama. ‘ said Harms.
“We knew just how much our fans wanted this season last season when our 10 Pelicans games had the highest ratings in team history,” said Harms.
The New Orleans Pelicans’ first game will be broadcast live on the Gulf Coast Sports and Entertainment Network when the Pelicans take on the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m.

This new 13-station network will provide unparalleled access to sports and entertainment to 9.7 million viewers across the Gulf South region. The network’s signature show is New Orleans Pelicans games.
