ALEXANDRIA, IN – Buoyed by the success of an exciting spring tour that included numerous sold-out events, multi-GRAMMY Award-winning artist Bill Gaither will continue his “Moments To Remember Tour” this fall, visiting more than a dozen cities in September, October and November with his award-winning group, the Gaither Vocal Band. One of the tour stops will be at Temple Church in New Bern, NC on Friday, October 11th at 7pm.
It’s been a busy spring for the Dove Award-winning music pioneer, who turned 88 in March. He and his popular Gaither Vocal Band have performed nearly 20 concerts across the United States, including at the launch of Bill Gaither’s enLighten channel on SiriusXM. Gaither’s reputation as a performer, songwriter and mentor to new artists is known throughout the world. He and his wife, Gloria, have become perhaps the most successful gospel songwriting team in history, having written more than 900 songs together and been named ASCAP’s Christian Songwriter of the Century. More than 30 years ago, the two produced the first Homecoming CD and video, and since then, the beloved series has continued to top the sales charts and attract ever-increasing audiences. Honors and accolades have come in droves, including a Grammy nomination for Best Roots Gospel Album of the Year for the Gaither Vocal Band’s Shine recording.
This fall, Gaither and the Gaither Vocal Band, featuring Wes Hampton, Adam Crabb, Todd Suttles and Reggie Smith, will be joined on stage by talented female vocalist Lady Love Smith, talented male vocalist Gene McDonald, popular newcomer Chris Blue and fellow Gaither musicians Kevin Williams, Matthew Holt and Michael Rowsey.
