Material Design is marking the 10th anniversary of its design language with a call to “Let’s write the next chapter of the Material story together.” Content-wise, the transition shouldn’t bring any dramatic changes; the company is celebrating the milestone with a variety of retrospectives.
Meanwhile, @GooglePixel_US today Posts The company announced that it would “shut down this channel” on September 24th and “all things Google Pixel will be on @madebygoogle.” The main MBG account had 960.4K followers, now only 82.1K. It also features content for Google Nest and Fitbit. The fitness brands still have their own accounts after the acquisition, but @googlenest is dormant.
The Google Pixel Twitter account is more on the playful side with its content, even if it’s not as community-focused. On Instagram, in particular, @GooglePixel is an account entirely focused on sharing “a collection of amazing Pixel photos.” It’s currently in the middle of a “30 Days of Pixel” campaign, where it shares a different theme each day and invites submissions. There seems to be no change to the Instagram account today.
Notice! This channel will be closed next week. Starting September 24th, you can find the latest information about the Google Pixel here: Made by GoogleIf you haven’t already, be sure to follow us.
