It’s time to laugh with the 2024 Comedy Wildlife Awards finalists.
The shortlist, announced Wednesday, is “an incredible collection of amazing, jaw-dropping and laugh-out-loud photos of some of the most incredible wildlife we share this planet with.” said officials in a statement. Images and videos shortlisted for the 2024 edition include a cheetah playing hide-and-seek behind a tree, a bear hugging a tree, a fish chasing an eagle across the sky, and a tiny flying squirrel that “intimidates like a mafia boss.” etc. are included.
This free contest is open to wildlife photography beginners, amateurs and professionals alike and celebrates the cheerfulness of the natural world.
“This short list of entries features some of the most amazing photographs ever submitted, capturing the funniest moments of wildlife on camera,” the contest said in a statement.
This year’s shortlist consisted of 40 individual photographs, three videos, and four portfolio entries selected from thousands of entries from 98 countries.
