ORLANDO, Fla. — As Hurricane Milton approaches, Central Florida tourist attractions are closely monitoring the storm.
Channel 9 is monitoring potential changes at local theme parks.
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay
The theme park is closed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
The theme park released the following statement regarding Hurricane Milton:
“To review the latest Hurricane Milton routes and ensure the safety of our ambassadors, guests, and animals, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay will be closed on Tuesday (10/8), Wednesday (10/9), and Thursday (10/10) 10). We encourage guests to check our website and follow our social media channels for the latest information on park reopening. ”
Aquatica Orlando
Aquatica Orlando will be closed on Monday, October 7th and is scheduled to reopen on Tuesday, October 8th.

The theme park released the following statement regarding Hurricane Milton:
“At this time, park operations and opening hours continue as normal. We are closely monitoring the weather. Please check back for updates.”
Below is Universal Orlando Resort’s weather policy.
“If a hurricane or tropical storm warning is issued by the National Hurricane Center, or if a state of emergency is declared in the Orlando area or where you live, please contact our team in advance within 7 days of your arrival. You can change or cancel Universal Parks & Resorts vacation packages, hotel-only accommodations, and Universal Orlando theme park tickets booked directly with Universal Orlando without incurring cancellation or change fees.

The theme park released the following statement regarding Hurricane Milton:
We are closely monitoring the expected path of the storm and the safety of our guests and Cast Members remains our top priority. Walt Disney World Resort is currently open for business as usual and is expected to remain open on Tuesday, October 8th. We are making adjustments based on the latest weather forecasts and some areas with special environments.
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground (including dining and recreational facilities), Copper Creek Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, and Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa will be open from 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9 to 1 p.m. will be closed. Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa may be closed until Sunday, October 13th. Copper Creek Cabin at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge may reopen on Friday, October 11th.

SeaWorld Orlando offers an “Inclement Weather Guarantee” policy.
“Your visit is covered by our Inclement Weather Guarantee Program. This program guarantees the value of your park admission and covers weather phenomena such as rain, lightning, heat, wind, snow, and hail, year-round. Applicable.”
The theme park has not yet released a statement specific to Hurricane Milton.

LEGOLAND® Florida Resort will close all park operations from Wednesday, October 9th through Thursday, October 10th.
At this time, LEGOLAND® Hotels will remain open with limited capacity.
We continue to prioritize the safety of our customers and exemplary citizens (employees) and are closely monitoring the expected path of the storm.
gatorland orlando
Gatorland Orlando will be closing the park on Wednesday, October 9th and Thursday, October 10th for the safety of our animals, guests, and employees.
Theme parks have hurricane plans in place as needed.

Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center
The Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center is closely monitoring Hurricane Milton.
These include canceled or postponed events on Wednesday, October 9th and Thursday, October 10th.
“Kristen Warren & Krieg, The String Queen” has been postponed, and Thursday’s performance of “Phantasmagoria XV: Grim and Glimmer Tales” has been canceled and rescheduled.
