Between 2024 and 2025, three new entertainment venues are scheduled to open in the City of Shenandoah, and two other family-friendly businesses will open in The Woodlands area.
Shenandoah’s location along Interstate 45 and near Houston makes it an attractive location for business, including entertainment venues, said John Maynor, director of Visit Shenandoah, Shenandoah’s convention and tourism agency. He said the city is growing by attracting new companies.
“These are exciting times and should offer both visitors and residents plenty of new places and activities to enjoy on their own, with their families, or with groups,” Maynor said.

New to Shenandoah is the Game Show Battle Room, which opened Sept. 5 and offers game show-style competition for teams.
Maynor said Shenandoah’s Metropark Square and Sam Moon Shopping Center have expanded new indoor activities for the greater North Houston and Woodlands area.
The new venue will join AMC Cineplex with IMAX, Dave & Buster’s, Main Event and Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park at Metropark Square, Maynor said. New indoor playground Cheeky Monkeys and ceramic painting shop Color Me Mine will also open in early 2025.
“We’re going to have a wide variety of people attending, from individuals to couples to families to different groups looking for activities and activities,” Maynor said.
Another September opening in the Woodlands area is Activate on Sawdust Road in Spring. There are options for parties and groups to participate in physical and mental games such as dodging lasers and shooting hoops.

Escapology, an escape room facility, and Breakthrough, which features 40 immersive high-tech challenge rooms, are also scheduled to open at Metropark Square in Shenandoah by the end of the year, Maynor said.
