During the transfer window, West Ham brought in several new players to strengthen their squad, but on the off chance that they do leave, the Hammers have not sold any star players this summer, which is seen as a major plus for the club as they field a quality squad heading into the 2024/25 season.
However, there are still 10 days left in the summer transfer window, which means Julen Lopetegui’s side could sell one of their star players if a big bid comes in from one of Europe’s top clubs. And according to Fabrizio Romano, that could be the case for defensive midfielder Edson Alvarez, who is attracting huge interest from Europe’s biggest clubs.
“Edson Alvarez is set to return to West Ham’s squad for their game against Crystal Palace if all goes to plan.”
There are still clubs interested in Alvarez in the final days of the transfer window, but so far no official bids have been made.”

There was speculation that Alvarez could leave West Ham this summer, with the club not playing European football this season and having also signed another defensive midfielder, Guido Rodriguez, on a free transfer, but after joining West Ham, Rodriguez confirmed that Alvarez would remain at the London Stadium this season.
No clubs have made official bids for Alvarez so far, but it’s good news for West Ham, who will need their stars to perform well this season. Meanwhile, Alvarez is almost fully fit and will be available for their next Premier League match against Crystal Palace. Julen Lopetegui’s West Ham will be hoping for a win in the second leg of their Premier League match after losing 1-2 to Aston Villa in the first leg.
