Week 4 is unfolding like a beautiful tapestry of possibilities, and if it’s anything like previous weeks in the NFL, just about anything can happen.
The NFL standings prove the adage that the season is long and arduous, especially for the No. 1 and No. 2 teams at key moments in the schedule.
The Dallas Cowboys, San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens are all one game away from being in serious trouble, and thankfully there’s some predictability as to how that will play out.
We bring you early predictions and forecasts for Week 4 NFL games.

Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants
Date: Thursday, September 26th Time: 8:15pm ET Location: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ TV: None Streaming: Amazon Prime, NFL+ Spread: Cowboys (-4.5)
Covers.com: “The Cowboys have dominated their division rivals in recent years. Dallas is 13-1 straight up and 11-3 against the spread against New York since 2017, including a 6-1 straight up and against the spread record at MetLife Stadium during that span. If you’re betting on this trend, don’t bet against Dallas in a hurry. We’ll see how far the TNF odds go.”
Action Network: Bet on the Cowboys (-4.5)
“The Cowboys have beaten the Giants in 13 of their last 14 meetings, 11 of which have been by a touchdown or more…. The line should be Cowboys -6, maybe -7. It could be that way by kickoff Thursday night.”

New Orleans Saints vs. Atlanta Falcons
Date: Sunday, September 29th Time: 1:00 PM ET Location: Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta TV: FOX Streaming: Fubo, NFL+ Spread: Falcons (-1.5)
Arizona Republic: Falcons 27, Saints 20
Sports notes: Falcons 27, Saints 23.
“While there are some injury concerns on the Falcons’ offensive line, Atlanta is better prepared for the Eagles to take on New Orleans. I expect the division game to be close, but the Falcons’ offense has the advantage so far.”
Cincinnati Bengals vs. Carolina Panthers
Date: Sunday, September 29th Time: 1pm ET Location: Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC TV: FOX Streaming: Fubo, NFL+ Spread: Bengals (-5.5)
Arizona Republic: Prediction: Bengals 28, Panthers 21
Dimers: Bengals 26, Panthers 20
“After extensive simulations, our model predicts a 72% chance of victory for the Bengals and a 28% chance of victory for the Panthers,” the report reads.
Los Angeles Rams vs Chicago Bears
Date: Sunday, September 29th Time: 1pm ET Location: Soldier Field, Chicago TV: FOX Streaming: Fubo, NFL+ Spread: Bears (-2.5)
Sports Betting Dime: Betting on the Rams Sacha Paruk writes, “The receiver injuries are definitely a concern, but let’s not forget that the Rams were a playoff team last year (10-7) and Sean McVay remains one of the top coaches in the league. This is a good bet against a struggling rookie QB.”
Bookies.com: Bears moneyline:
Bill Speros wrote, “The Bears defense is helping the offense ease Caleb Williams into the NFL. The Rams may give Williams a chance to showcase the ability that made him the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft. The Rams have been hit hard by injuries, including losing both Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp, but they did come away with a win over San Francisco in Week 3. Still, the Bears defense has the advantage in this one. The Bears have won six straight at home and the home team has covered in seven of the Bears’ last eight games.”
Minnesota Vikings vs Green Bay Packers
Date: Sunday, September 29th Time: 1:00 PM ET Location: Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wisconsin TV: FOX Streaming: Fubo, NFL+ Spread: Packers (-2.5)
Sports betting dimes: Vikings 24.1, Packers 13.5
The site predicts the Vikings will win by just over 10 points against the Packers in Week 4 of the NFL season.
Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Houston Texans
Date: Sunday, September 29th Time: 1:00 PM ET Location: NRG Stadium in Houston TV: CBS Streaming: Fubo, NFL+ Spread: Texans (-4.5)
Arizona Republic: Texans 21, Jaguars 17
Jeremy Clough wrote: “The Texans got beaten by the Vikings in Week 3. CJ Stroud and company will look to get back on track in Week 4 against the Jaguars.”
Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Indianapolis Colts
Date: Sunday, September 29th Time: 1:00 PM ET Location: Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis TV: CBS Streaming: Fubo, NFL+ Spread: Steelers (-1.5)
Covers.com: Bet on the under (40).
“Mike Tomlin’s defense is No. 1 in EPA points allowed and travels to Indianapolis in Week 4 to face the Indianapolis Colts, who lost by a point to the Bears on Sunday and had just 15 first downs.”
Bookies.com: Bet the Steelers moneyline (-125).
“The Steelers are 3-0 and have won against the spread. The Pittsburgh offense found the end zone twice in the win over the Chargers, one more TD than the Steelers offense has scored in their first two games. The Steelers defense will also dominate this game. Anthony Richardson has a strong arm, but he’s still a rookie QB (making his eighth career start) and will be facing Mike Tomlin’s defense, which usually doesn’t end well.”
Denver Broncos vs. New York Jets
Date: Sunday, September 29th Time: 1:00 PM ET Location: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ TV: CBS Streaming: Fubo, NFL+ Spread: Jets (-7)
Bookies.com: Bet on the Jets.
“The Jets defense could get ugly against a rookie quarterback (Bo Nix). Aaron Rodgers played great against New England, and he and his good friend, offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, will be looking to get revenge against Hackett’s former team. It would be foolish to ask the Jets to cover the 7.5-point line at home, but this week is an exception. It’s personal. And the line didn’t move after the Broncos beat Tampa Bay. Something is going on.”
Philadelphia Eagles v Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Date: Sunday, September 29th Time: 1:00 PM ET Location: Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, Florida TV: FOX Streaming: Fubo, NFL+ Spread: Eagles (-2.5)
Delaware News Journal: Eagles 26, Buccaneers 20
“Buccaneers coach Todd Bowles has dominated Hurts and the Eagles in the past two playoff games (2021 and the wild-card round in 2023), with the Buccaneers winning by a combined score of 63-24. Hurts and Saquon Barkley will need to control the ball again to win this game,” Martin Frank wrote.
Washington Commanders vs. Arizona Cardinals
Date: Sunday, September 29th Time: 4:05pm ET Location: State Farm Stadium, Glendale, Arizona TV: FOX Streaming: Fubo, NFL+ Spread: Cardinals (-5)
Arizona Republic: Cardinals 31, Commanders 20
Jeremy Clough wrote, “Washington quarterback Jayden Daniels began his collegiate career at Arizona State. Commanders OC Kliff Kingsbury previously coached the Cardinals. Their homecoming won’t go well.”
ESPN: Betting on the Cardinals
The site predicts that Arizona will win this game by a landslide, giving the Cardinals a 63.7% chance of winning.
New England Patriots v San Francisco 49ers
Date: Sunday, September 29th Time: 4:05 PM ET Location: Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara, California TV: FOX Streaming: Fubo, NFL+ Spread: 49ers (-10.5)
Picks and Parlays: San Francisco 49ers 27, New England Patriots 21
Cameron Ross wrote, “The Niners should be good enough to pull off a win on their home turf, but issues and injuries will make them impossible to cover. New England will be good enough to cover that number this week as they look to come back from total underdogs to win.”
Dimers: 49ers 27, Patriots 17
“After extensive simulations, our model predicts that the Patriots have a 15% chance of winning and the 49ers have an 85% chance of winning,” the site states.
Kansas City Chiefs vs. Los Angeles Chargers
Date: Sunday, September 29th Time: 4:25 PM ET Location: SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, California TV: CBS Streaming: Fubo, NFL+ Spread: Chiefs (-7)
Arizona Republic: Chiefs 20, Chargers 17
Jeremy Clough wrote, “It wasn’t a very good game, but the Chiefs found a way to win. Patrick Mahomes will find a way to win this game in Los Angeles.”
Cleveland Browns vs Las Vegas Raiders
Date: Sunday, September 29th Time: 4:25 PM ET Location: Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas TV: CBS Streaming: Fubo, NFL+ Spread: Browns (-1)
Sports betting dimes: Browns 16.9, Raiders 16.3
In its early-week outlook, the algorithm is just barely picking the Browns.
Arizona Republic: Raiders 17, Browns 13
“This game has the potential to be very low scoring with both teams struggling in attack, so I have a bit more faith in the home side’s attack at the moment,” Clough wrote.
Buffalo Bills vs Baltimore Ravens
Date: Sunday, September 29th Time: 8:20 PM ET Location: M&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore TV: NBC, Universo Streaming: Peacock, Fubo, NFL+ Spread: Ravens (-2.5)
Dimers: Ravens 25, Bills 22
“After extensive simulations, our model predicts the Bills have a 41% chance of winning and the Ravens have a 59% chance of winning,” the site wrote.
Tennessee Titans vs Miami Dolphins
Date: Monday, September 30th Time: 7:30pm ET Location: Hard Rock Stadium TV: ESPN Streaming: Fubo, NFL+ Spread: Titans (-1)
Covers.com: Take the Titans, for example. “With Tua Tagovailoa on IR (concussion) and Skylar Thompson out of the Seattle game with a “pretty painful” rib injury, Mike McDaniels is scrambling. Luckily, he has a day to solve his QB conundrum. … Unfortunately, Miami will be facing a Tennessee defense that has been in good form through the first three weeks. The Titans are 11th in EPA per play, have the fourth-lowest success rate per dropback (37.2%) and have recorded seven total sacks.”
Seattle Seahawks vs Detroit Lions
Date: Monday, September 30th Time: 8:15pm ET Location: Ford Field, Detroit TV: ABC Streaming: ESPN+, Fubo Spread: Lions (-4.5)
Covers.com: Betting on the over. “The Detroit Lions offense looked a bit better in Week 3, especially inside the red zone, but they’ll be up against a Seahawks defense that’s been transformed under coach Mike McDonald. … The Seahawks offense solved their red zone woes in Week 3 and could have big-play potential with Geno Smith and his talented corps of receivers if Sunday’s showdown becomes a shootout. Smith has seen his output improve dramatically when playing indoors and has seen his passer rating soar inside the Dome.”
