Al Yah Satellite Communications Company (Yahsat), a subsidiary of Space42, plans to launch seven satellites as part of the UAE’s Earth Observation Space Program, the first of which, the Foresight-1 satellite, will be launched in August 2023. launched on the moon. Satellite 4 will be launched by the end of this year, while Al Yaa 4 and Al Yaa 5 are scheduled to launch in 2027 and 2028, respectively.
Foresight 1 is a significant achievement for the UAE as it is the first satellite in the country’s Earth Observation Space Program. With Foresight-1, the UAE joins the top 20 countries in the world actively engaged in the operation and management of this category of satellites.
