The UAE, through its humanitarian arm, Operation Chivalry III, distributed emergency relief items, packets of dates and gallons of drinking water to displaced Palestinian families living in Khan Yunis camp.
The effort has revealed the difficult situation and destroyed infrastructure in the city, leading to severe drinking water shortages.
“Operation Chivalry III” aims to provide emergency relief and ease suffering to displaced families forced from their homes by the ongoing operations.
Dates and hundreds of gallons of water were systematically distributed to reach as many families as possible.
The move was widely praised by the beneficiaries, who expressed their deep gratitude to the UAE for this humanitarian assistance.
According to the Emirates Press Agency, Operation Chivalry 3 distributed 80 tonnes of humanitarian and emergency aid to help Palestinian families who are lacking basic necessities and water due to dire conditions.
Operation Chivalry III aims to alleviate the water crisis in residential and displaced areas and has carried out water distribution campaigns benefiting more than 70,000 people.
The effort is currently working with Khan Yunis Municipality to repair water pipes and tanks to ensure a permanent and sufficient supply and avert humanitarian disaster and disease.
